My story
01/07/22 10:56 J Jay was surrendered to the shelter due to his owner not being able to care for him any longer, along with friends Gracie Girl and Chucky Cheese. J Jay is a sweet guy who has spent time both indoors and outdoors in his previous home. When the owner was away J Jay spent his time in a crate indoors. He is NOT housebroken. If you plan on keeping this guy inside make sure he gets plenty of potty breaks during the day to avoid accidents. J Jay is gentle when playing, affectionate, outgoing and friendly. He doesn't know any commands except for `let's eat!` He does well with strangers and adults, but we don't know how he would do with children or babies. He was known to get into scraps with his pal Chucky Cheese, but Chucky Cheese was the instigator. J Jay does well with female dogs, but please still take caution when introducing him to any other canine pals. We do not know how he would do with cats, pocket pets, livestock. Being a KBD mix he will likely have a high prey drive, so please use caution if you have any small critters, and keep him on a leash at all times so he doesn't go after moose. J Jay is known to get into the garbage and dig if left unattended so he may like some brain games or extra activities to keep him out of trouble. J Jay does not like riding in the car and his previous owner needed to medicate him for longer car rides, so please talk to your vet about this if you are a far traveler. If you are interested in J Jay then please give the shelter a call!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt J JAY, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
