My story

　　The three words that best describe Izzy? Happy, Intelligent and Loving!  Her foster mom said she is going to make someone the best dog they have ever had! This pretty young pup Izzy is around 9 months old and we think she is a Lab / Boxer mix.  Doesn't she have the most engaging eyes? You can see how eager she is to please her people and this is refletcted in how quickly she learns and picks up new skills and tricks. She learned how to do a "down" in just a few attempts and is leash, crate and house trained.  And she is a dream in the car - she thinks it's a very special treat to go for rides.  At night she goes easily into her comfy wire crate and snoozes the night away without a peep. Izzy adores other doggies and is very astute at paying attention to other dog's body language. Her foster mom says "Definitely reads the other dogs well and although she’d prefer to play, she gives space if they want it and her play style is so gentle." When she met an older dog who does not really like to play, she simply left him alone and moved on to something else. She was also very tolerant of the adolscent male pup who was quite rambuntious in trying to get her to play. There is a female dog in her foster home with the same play style and energy and they have a blast playing together! She loves stuffed animals and will bring them over to you to hold while she chews. This congenial, outgoing girl also meets people with ease and her tail is always wagging. When she met a cat, Izzy wanted to play but the cat did not so she gave her a quick swat and Izzy quickly retreated. The next time Izzy tried ot initiate play the cat ran and Izzy gave chase so she might be ok with the right cat/introduction. For a young dog, Izzy is quite calm and well mannered in the house. She's a very content girl! At about 50lbs Izzy is the perfect size for adventures and with her personaity she can go anywhere - Breweries, dog parks, frend's house, crowed trails - she will be successful in most any situation.
