Online application hereMeet ISABELLA! Isabella (or Izzy to her friends) is about 6-7 years old, 53 pound, female, tri-color hound mix. She is so sweet, friendly with everyone she meets and a happy girl. While she is older, don't let her fool you -- Izzy is playful and loves to get attention from her humans. Her foster took her to the dog park and she did very well with the dogs, but she also "greeted every single person there, and gave them her paw. Everyone adored her!" She would be happy to be involved in any activity the family wants to do. Best of all, Izzy settles down nicely to hang out with her people and has great house manners, including seems to understand housetraining. Poor Izzy has not always had an easy life and ended up at a high-kill shelter in North Carolina. PetConnect was able to come to her rescue and has brought her to the DC area to find her forever home.

　　So now Izzy is ready to leave her past behind and find her new, and this time, forever home. Isabella would love to curl up at your feet (or in your lap) to hang out on a cool spring evening; she loves to cuddle and get pets! Izzy has been fostered with dogs and does fine; although she also would do great as an only dog, ready to be pampered with all of the attention she so deserves! She also seems to respect the kitties in her foster home. She would be an excellent new member of the family! Izzy is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines and preventatives and eager to find a family to love! The adoption fee for Izzy is $295, which includes routine vetting, and spay/neuter.
