Irene's story

　　Irene is a 1.5-pound grey tuxedo kitten. She will be three months old July 4th and has had two juvenile distemper shots. She has been hand fed from birth and never missed a meal, but is really tiny. She is healthy, friendly and active.

　　We do not spay kittens until they are three months old and weigh three pounds, so are looking for a foster-adopt situation. Adoption is not complete until spayed.

　　The mother was startled just after giving birth to Irene and two other kittens. She grabbed one kitten and ran away. After 9 hours on hot day Irene and Irma were rescued and the next morning delivered to our newborn foster. She has heard barking dogs, but was too tiny to visit them.
