My story

　　********************** ADOPTION PENDING *********************INDIEDOB: 02.17.2019*Indie was found wandering alone on the 106-degree streets of Bakersfield. She was skinny, scared, seeking kindness and a safe place to stay. She is one of the sweetest dogs you’ll ever meet and is always ready to shower you with affection. She will happily sit her 65-pound body on your lap, cuddle up next to you on the couch and/or lay by your side in bed. She’s had a tough life and deserves to be in a home with a person/people who will appreciate these endearing qualities and give her lots of love and affection in return.Her foster family fell in love with Indie but couldn’t keep her because one of their dogs was reactive. Indie was a sweetheart to him, but he wasn’t receptive. Also, their 2nd dog was about to go through amputation surgery due to cancer and having a new dog in our home during her recovery would be too stressful for all involved. Indie stayed with this foster for one week, and then came to Paw Printz where she’s been able to interact with lots of other dogs.Housetrained and crate trained. Good house manners (hasn’t chewed on personal items, taken food off counters, knocked things over or dug in the yard in our care).Gets along well with dogs but would also do fine in a home without other dogs because she loves people so much. Has done well with young teenagers. Not sure about smaller children because we haven't had her around them.She is a Pitty mix, possibly mixed with Plott Hound or Rottweiler. When she was first found, she was extremely stressed from being abandoned. She expressed her anxiety by going in circles, chasing her tail. We have been able to help her get beyond this stress-based behavior by providing her with a stable environment and through positive behavior modification. She is thriving now and ready for her forever home! This incredible pup is full of unconditional love and is anxious to share it with her future adopters!High energy, would be a good walking/hiking/running partner. Has a playful, goofy side. Loves to run around the yard and play fetch. Very smart, learns quickly, minds well.Indie is spayed, she tested negative for heartworms and is now on Sentinel Spectrum to prevent heartworms, has been microchipped, cleared a veterinary wellness exam and is current on her vaccinations.As with all Paw Printz dogs, we will provide free training, if any is needed in her new home, and we will take her back at any time if it doesn’t work out for any reason.If you think Indie would be the perfect addition to your home, send an email to: [email protected] and request an application.Adoption Fee: $200Adoption Requirements: Application, Interview, HomecheckTHIS DOG IS LOCATED NEAR FRESNO, CA*Age is always a guess with rescue dogs but here at Paw Printz we believe everyone should have a birth day so when the vet guesses at their age, we work out what would be a good birthday for each dog and make it so!
