The Imperial Porcelain Factory is a producer of handpainted ceramics in Saint Petersburg, Russia. Many still refer to the manufacturing facility by its well- known former name, Lomonosov Porcelain Factory.
Established in 1744, the porcelain manufacturing facility was developed by the order of Empress Elizabeth. The manufacturing plant produced items exclusively for the ruling Romanov family and the Russian Imperial Court. The manufacturing plant has recently begun to produce hand-made copies of porcelain from the variety of Imperial porcelain exhibited in the State Hermitage Museum collection.
