Icarus's story
Meet Icarus! Now I'm not so up to date on my Greek mythology (is anyone?), so I had to look up who Icarus was. Turns out he is the son of the creator of the Labyrinth, an elaborate and giant maze. No maze here though, friends- Icarus is on a straight path for your heart! ;-)
Icarus absolutely loves attention from people and is the first to greet you when you walk in the room. If you follow my page at all, you'll know that cats confuse me. I enjoy visiting them at the shelter, but it's just been recently that I've started visiting them every week. Icarus is the first cat to hop right in my lap- a LAP CAT!? I've only ever seen them on Tv lol. Icarus is pretty sure he's a Greek god, and expects all eyes on him at all times. Maybe we should change his name to Zeus? Icarus purrs up a storm, rubs all over your legs... and nudges the other cats out of the way if he isn't the center of your world lol. As long as your cat is cool with playing second fiddle, OR gives Icarus a little swat to say "nope, my turn," Icarus is cool with the other cats. Hey, this Greek mythology stuff is complicated- they'll figure it out. :-D
Visit 5 yr old Icarus at the MCAC West shelter at 2500 S. 27th Ave., Phx. Hours are 11-6 Mon-Fri and 11-5 Sat & Sun. Icarus' adoption fee includes neuter and 3 in 1 vaccination.
