My story

　　03/08/22 Husta was returned after 2 weeks in her previous home due to destructive tendencies when left alone and separation anxiety. The previous owners did state that Husta was housebroken (goes to door), rides well in the car and that she was shy but affectionate. However, she would do best in a home where her family is home more often than not, can provide a secure kennel for her when they are away (not a simple wire kennel), and provide plenty of mental and physical stimulation (because a busy husky is a happy husky!). Hushta needs daily exercise and plenty of brain work- research enrichment for some great ideas! Please only consider Husta if you understand the Alaskan husky breed and have the time and patience to work with her every single day. Husta seems to love the company of other dogs while here at the shelter!02/03/22 13:50 Hushta is a friendly mushing trained dog who recently had puppies that all found homes. She is now looking for her forever home as well! She has spent her time outdoors on a dog house and has been a mushing dog who was said to pull, run and likes to trot. She is not housebroken and does not know basic commands like an indoor dog may know. She is gentle, affectionate and outgoing. She is interested in people and will jump up on you to greet you! She does well with strangers and adults, but we don't yet know how she would do with children or babies. She got along with the other dogs on the team, but has never been around cats, pocket pets or livestock. if you have any small creatures, please keep in mind Alaskan huskies tend to have high prey drives! Keep in mind that if you plan to integrate this gal into your home as a house dog, she will need all the basic training including potty training!
