MEET HUNTER!

　　Hunter is a 1 year old neutered male beagle who we rescued from animal testing in China. If it had not been for the work of BeagleChina and Rescue + Freedom Project (formerly Beagle Freedom Project), Hunter would have suffered the fate of being euthanized in a laboratory, like most other animals used in testing.

　　We transported Hunter among several other former research dogs to the states to be fostered into homes where they could be assessed before adoption and rehabilitated. Hunter is a gentle natured dog. He absolutely requires the companionship of other dogs in a household. He may need to be in a home with more than one dog and with other playful, energetic dogs. He must also be in a home with a family. He cannot be adopted by someone who works away from home or is gone long hours.

　　Sadly, Hunter suffers from severe separation anxiety. While he a very friendly and loving dog, he requires being in a home with someone who can be home with him all the time. If someone cannot be home with him, they may need to bring them with him. His behaviors are improving, but he needs to be adopted by someone who can take on the severity of his anxiety. Hunter must be adopted by someone who is prepared to have him with them at all times.

　　Hunter is extremely cuddly and affectionate. He will ultimately make an exceptional companion animal. He enjoys exercising with his human one on one, playtime with his canine crew and doggy daycare.

　　All adoptable R+FP animals are fully vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered because that is the responsible thing to do to keep everyone safe.
