Description

  Fake Anti-Virus will tell you that your computer is infected with viruses and prevent you from running any program without paying for their fake software.

  The removal of it is usually easy:

  1. Press F8 during startup and go into safe mode.

  2. Start regedit.

  3. Backup the registry entries under the following by exporting them.

  HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun

  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionRun

  4. Delete those entries and restart.

  5. Check the exported reg file and delete the suspected files.

  5. Remove the suspected entries from the registry files and import again.
