This pretty dog is Vanna, a two year old female hound/terrier mix. She has a gorgeous black and brown brindle smooth coat and the cutest nubby tail with a bit of curled hair on the end! Vanna is a good size dog, weighing 40 pounds. Vanna was pulled from our local animal shelter where she had been picked up by Animal Control and no one came to claim her after being down there several weeks. Vanna is a fun loving dog -- full of energy and excitement! She will be great for an active owner who likes to run, walk or hike which is what Vanna will need to get her energy used up. Vanna will require a fenced in yard and probably has too much energy for an apartment unless she gets plenty of exercise. She is very friendly, playful and would be fine with older kids, 12 and up, not younger because she is still a bit mouthy (that's the hound in her - wants to hold something in her mouth!). Vanna is good with other dogs but wants to be the dominant dog. We don't know about cats. We have started her crate training. Vanna is up to date on her vet care, spayed, heartworm negative and is microchipped. She is on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. Vanna will make a wonderful BFF for some lucky person out there!
