Hound - Ms Beasley - Medium - Adult - Female - Dog

　　MS. BEASLY Ms. Beasly is a 44 lb female mixed breed, possibly a Shar-Pei/Hound mix who is about 2 yrs old. Ms. Beasly is a docile, sensitive, timid beauty with cute and tiny little Shar-Pei ears, gorgeous red-tawny fur with adorable eyes that match her fur. She does occasionally need her ear canals cleaned out which can be done easily with an over the counter solution and cotton balls. This gal is also a talker. By talker, I do not mean she has a barking problem. She just has so much to say and worry about. She does so very vocally with her moans, whines, and barks. Her barking is only directed at an individual who is focusing their attention on her. Otherwise she is basically silent. Ms. Beasly will do best in a home with at least one other dog as she may have a mild case of separation anxiety, although she has never exhibited any of the destructiveness that typically goes with that issue. Ms. Beasly was fostered with a 2 yr old high energy Jack Russell mix and what an awesome, non-reactive companion she was to his hyper non-stop jumping and play biting. Most days you would witness her casually walking around with the other dog firmly attached by the jaw to one of her legs. Basically she is extremely tolerant and easy going when it comes to other dogs. She also does great with cats. When she was found as a stray in mid-July it was clear she had just had a litter of pups, which is probably why she has such a strong maternal instinct. She is now spayed and up to date on her shots. She is house trained with a doggy door, extremely low maintenance and 100% trustworthy when home alone. No crate needed although she actually prefers to hang out in one at times and it is useful for cleaning out her ears. She can be good on a leash, loves long hikes outdoors, as well as daily walks. While she was once better on a leash she started going ape over chasing lizards. She has now progressed to rabbits and it's her lifelong dream to actually capture one. She'll need someone fairly strong to walk her in case of a rabbit sighting. She has made a major improvement in trusting people but is still not 100%. Her personality has evolved from being paralyzed with fear to just being suspicious of strangers or anyone (the foster included) if they are standing up. She is extremely affectionate if you are sitting down or are at her level. Ms. Beasly is a reluctant, timid, sweet, docile being who will just melt your heart. Please contact the foster at
