Hopscotch's story
Meet Hopscotch 5763
The canines provide many lessons for the humans, not the least of which, is to realize this juncture of the past and the future, acknowledging the futility of exiting elsewhere, but choosing only to live in the here-and-now, accepting the physical limitations that have been chosen for us, never allowing them to dictate who you are. Hopscotch, who came into this world with a physical handicap, was given his name for two reasons. The first because it is a reflection of his inner nature, always happy, always with a smile and always with a thankfulness that is from his heart. The second because it is an expression of the joyfulness of his being which never, ever changes, as mirrored in the delight of a child with no worldly concerns, simply experiencing the freedom and elation of hopping from one square to the next in the synchronized dance that is available to all but experienced by so few. Hopscotch can't run a 100-meter sprint, but does a remarkably speedy, loping jog, especially on the way back to his kennel, anticipating his awaiting supper. This is a gentle natured creature, who is totally house-trained and apartment ready, who loves sharing his life with 100 % of all, humans and canines alike. This is one special entity who is hoping for a forever home with another.
