My story
Honey Clementine is patiently waiting for a family to call her own!!
She is a 2.5 yr old lab/shepherd mix female who was picked up as a stray after having a litter of newborn puppies. How such a wonderful dog remained unclaimed for so long is beyond me!
She walks well on leash, plays well with other dogs and loves people! She takes corrections well and is eager to please her humans. She takes treats gently and doesn't jump when she gets excited. She is a "go with the flow" kinda gal. If you wake up and want to go on a hike she would be more than happy to tag along. If you have a day full of zoom meetings and have to sit at home all day. She will gladly sit by your side or keep her self entertained with some toys.
Black dogs are often overlooked in shelters and Honey is one of those dogs. She raised her pups and did a great job but has been waiting for 4 months for a home of her own.

Thank you so much for looking into wags and whiskers for your next family member.
All of our pets are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm tested if over 6 months old and will be spayed or neutered before being allowed to go home.
Unfortunately, we don't always know the background of each dog. Some were dumped, abandoned in an empty house, left tied to a tree, picked up by animal control as strays, or simply unwanted by their owners. Please take into consideration that owning a pet is a 10+ year commitment and discuss with all members of your family before submitting an application to adopt.
If you have already filled out an online adoption application with our organization in the last 6 months you do not need to fill out another application. Please call or email us to schedule an appointment.
If you are interested in meeting this pet please apply to adopt at

if the pet is still available for adoption and you are approved to adopt we will contact you to set up a meet and greet appointment.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt HONEY CLEMENTINE, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
