Hoggle's story
**HIDDEN GEM ALERT!!!**
So I have tried on two separate occasions to get an in-kennel pic of Hoggle. Each time, he barks and looks so sketchy, the picture is awful. But something about Hoggle's bark said he was just nervous about someone standing at his kennel staring at him. Hey, I don't like to be stared at either! So I took Hoggle out... and discovered a shelter hidden gem!!
Folks, this dude is AWESOME. Hoggle clearly belonged to someone at some point, even though he came in as a stray. He knows not one, not two, not three but FOUR different tricks. Ask Hoggle to show you "sit," "beg," "paw" and "down" and prepare to faint at the genius that is Mr. Hoggle. ;-) All that, and he walks like a dream on the leash. Hoggle is a mellow guy overall. He enjoys attention and pets, but is also happy to zone out and chew on his bone by himself. Hoggle out of his kennel is so incredibly different than Hoggle IN his kennel. I know people are walking by him because of the way he looks in his kennel; I'm sure of it, because I almost did it too! But now the secret is out, so come meet this hidden gem ASAP!
Hoggle did well during his dog eval and came in with another dog around his size. He was friendly with his greetings and engaged in some light play. Bring your dog in for an intro and we can help make sure everyone gets along. You can visit 6 yr old Hoggle at the MCAC West shelter at 2500 S. 27th Ave., Phx. Hours are 11-6 Mon-Fri and 11-5 Sat & Sun. Hoggle's $25 adoption fee includes neuter, rabies certificate and County license.
