I have a full set (30 leather-bound volumes) of the 1965 Encyclopedia Americana in nearly-new condidtion. This is a great resource that will show you exactly what the world was like fifty years back, exactly what we thought about things and people and concepts, and allow you the never-to-be-forgotten tactile experience of looking things up in a book and holding it in your hands while you check out and become enlightened. When the electrical power and web are out and will certainly never go or require repair works out of design, it'll work.
