What is a Highlander ??
The Highlander is a developing type in the International Cat Association (TICA). It's roots are a little a mystery as it does not come down from any known or recognized cat breed. Although these felines have actually been in presence given that 1993, the name 'Highlander' was embraced in 2004 to identify it as a special type, and it was accepted for Registration at that time by TICA. In 2005 it was relocated to Preliminary New Breed Class, which is the initial step in the direction of attaining Championship status. It is a distinct and exciting
brand-new breed with some unusual attributes that sets it apart from other types.
Among the distinguishing characteristics makings the Highlander stick out are the somewhat curled back ears. These ears stand as much on top of the head as on the side, and might sport ear tufts and ear furnishings.
As incredible as their appearances are a Highlander is a playful, happy-go-lucky feline that likes nothing much better than to have an audience and all eyes on it as it considers new zany tricks with which to amuse its humans. The Highlander has a fun loving, lively, and laid back personality, and is often referred to as having a clown-like nature. This makes it the ideal cat for any family. It is a durable cat with a strong muscular body, brief tail, and curled ears really unique in the cat fancy!
