My story
06/28/21 This active gal is Hershey! She is super affectionate, outgoing, quite active, and LOVES people! She likes to give `hugs and kisses` to her animal tenders here at the shelter. She was surrendered with her 2 pals Whitney and Pilot because their owner is working out of town and can't take care of them anymore. All three girls are described as leaders for sled dog teams. They have spent their lives outside and are used to being on a chain with a dog house. They may not be housebroken, so please be prepared for some training if you plan to transition these girls to be indoor dogs. These girls are described as being gentle when playing, generally minding well and kennel trained. Sled dogs love to run, of course, so please make sure you keep these girls properly restrained so they don't go out for a stroll on the town. Her pal Pilot climbs fences and she may do the same. Hershey will need to either be on a chain or other type of secure tie-out line. Hershey is such a lively dog that loves everyone, loves adventure and wants a new family to keep her active! We know that Hershey loves her pals, and probably will get along with other dogs as well, but we don't know how she would do with any other pets. Alaskan Huskies tend to have high prey drives, so please take caution if introducing her to a cat, or pocket pets. If you think that Hershey may be the dog for you, then please give the shelter a call!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt HERSHEY, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
