My story

　　Let's talk about Herbie and Husker this morning!!!!!

　　These two are sweet as sweet can be and love to give and get loves from our employees. They are also two pups who make our hearts hurt a bit and remind us why we do what we do....to help these innocent animals in times of need.Herbie and Husker are 9 year old male lab mixes that are bonded. These boys experienced trauma a couple years ago that has left them with many fears and now they are without a home, so they desperately need our help!! These pups were in their home when a tornado demolished the home a couple years ago. Both pups and their family had to be rescued/removed by first responders. They have made a full recovery physically but are still scared of many things, especially sirens. The loud shelter environment is terrifying for these sweet boys and we are hoping we can get them into foster asap to get them to a calmer/more stable environment.Herbie and Husker have been farm dogs most of their lives. They are used to roaming during the day, then coming inside to sleep at night. These boys are great with kids, cats, dogs, and all new friends. They are overall love bugs and know no strangers.These two need our help to teach them leash skills, monitor their food so they can drop a few pounds, and help build their confidence.

　　The shelter is not the right place for them. Do you have room in your home to foster Herbie and Husker while we find a furever placement for them?

　　They need someone who can be patient with them while teaching them that a leash won't hurt them. A farm environment would be great for these boys, but they also would transition very well into a loving home in town. Are you interested?
