We are a non-profit organization and we are completely 100% volunteer run. We DO NOT have a shelter and only approved applicants can make appointments with our foster homes to meet the dogs we have. Our volunteers will not discuss dogs we have available for adoption UNTIL you have an application on file and are approved to adopt.General Notes | Want to adopt this dog? Please do not email us. Please fill out the Adoption Application ASAP. Personality | Zena(ZeeZee) LOVES to be near her people! This little love is cuddly and always wants attention, but not needy. Her whole body just wiggles when she is happy and excited! She is gentle when taking treats- especially from her toddler foster bro! She loves to be outside and enjoying her mountain air. She would make a wonderful hiking companion. Story | Zena was saved from the Euthanization list in Roswell, NM.Other Dogs | She is good with dogs and just wants to be everyone's friend. She knows how to play with an older dog and understands the social cues of when he's tired and has had enough. She would enjoy a companion young or old. Cats | unknownChildren | She does well with her human foster sibling and isn't startled when he gets loud. She stays perfectly calm when he has the human zoomies, and doesn't feel the need to partake. She loves to watch him play and gives him the space he wants. She does love his toys if he leaves them out, but who can blame her, they're so much more fun!!Training | Her foster family is working on the basics with her and she is so eager to learn more. She thrives on routine and has shown a lot of progress. She has almost mastered (maybe 1 accident in the past month) potty training, and has learned that if she goes to the door she will be let out. She is kennel trained and sleeps through the night! Leash | Adeventures await! Zena loves walks and gets very excited when she see's her leash. Activity Level | She is the typical lab puppy that plays hard and sleeps hard. Most of the time she is calm in the house but sometimes the Zoomies take over! Health Notes | Healthy puppyThank you! | Adoption Donations | Our adoption donations are $425 for dogs 8 weeks to 1 year, $375 for 1-6 years, $325 for dogs 7-10 years, and $175 for 11+ years of age. Purebred dogs regardless of age are $475. These minimum donations help to defer the costs of initial vet care, food, and supplies while in foster care that currently average over $700 per dog).Meeting Dogs | Foster dogs may have meet & greets by appointment to approved applicants only. To become an approved applicant - please complete the application process. Please know | Available dogs are updated as soon as possible and we do our best to keep it up-to-date, but occasionally dogs shown may become unavailable without notice due to a pending adoption. We encourage you to put in an application even if you don't see your new family member currently, as once you are approved, we can place you on the waiting list for first priority on the selection of the dogs we do bring in. That means you can often meet a dog upon transport arrival and adopt before they even make it to this page!We can not guarantee that a dog you wish to adopt is available by the time your adoption application is submitted, processed, and approved. Your application is good for 90 days from the time of approval for any dog as long as it is a good fit for your family and your lifestyle. November 2, 2023, 8:44 am
