Hemi (polydactyl) & Jazzie (FCID# 07/05/18-27,28)'s story
Hello! We are Jasmine (aka Jazzy) and Hemingway (aka Hemi)! We were found on the streets of Wilmington in June, scared, hungry and alone! Thank you to Forgotten Cats, we were rescued from the scary streets, spayed & neutered and given a loving foster home where we could learn to love and trust humans again! We did not know each other when we lived outside, but after only a few days we were holding paws even though we were in separate condos. Our foster moms realized we would thrive in a nice big room where we could get to know each other. It was not long before we completely bonded! We love snuggling together and with our humans as well as cleaning each other from head to toe! Below are some tidbits about each of us: Jazzy (FCID# 07/05/2018 -28): 10-12 months old, female, Gray Tabby, FIV Negative, FeLV Negative. Jazzy is a shy little girl who becomes extremely affectionate and vocal once she warms up to you. Jazzy loves being held like a baby, will knead ever so gently anytime she is happy and content and if you stop petting her, she will even paw at your hand to ask you not to stop! Jazzy lived on the streets all by herself for at least a month that we know of (but we think it was much longer) so she can be very scared of loud noises, such as kids or other animals. It has taken a few weeks, but she has warmed up to her new surroundings, as well as the cat-friendly dogs in her foster home, as long as they are kept at a distance for now. She should adjust well to other cat-friendly dogs and cats if given the space, time and patience to adjust. Jazzy absolutely adores her new big brother and since they are bonded, they will need to be adopted together. Hemi (FCID# 07/05/2018 - 27): 1-2 year old, male, Tuxedo, FIV Positive, FeLV Negative. Hemi is the most affectionate and loving boy ever! He is a polydactyl, so that means he comes with a bonus thumb on each of his four feet. Hemi is the epitome of a lover boy and wants nothing more than to sit on your lap or right up against you! He loves other cats as well as cat-friendly dogs, but is happy as long as he has his humans and his little sister. Hemi is FIV+ and all that means is that his immune system is not as good at fighting off illness. He can live a full, happy, life with other FIV- cats, but would need a family who understands that he may need some extra veterinary care should his immune system need it. Hemi has completely bonded with his little sister, Jazzy, so they will need to be adopted together. Please feel free to reach out if you think you might be able to give these two sweethearts the loving, forever home they so deserve! I would be happy to answer any questions or arrange for a meet upon an approved, no obligation, adoption [email protected] (484) 674
