My story
Hazel is a little shy, but incredibly sweet. Though she can be found hiding in her cat tree or under the bed, Hazel isn’t afraid of people. She's just a little sensitive to a loud home. Hazel typically seeks out attention during the more quiet hours of the day and purrs nonstop once she gets the attention she is seeking. Hazel has no problem crawling onto your lap or snuggling up next to you, especially if it’s right before bedtime. She doesn’t play much, but when she does, she’s often mischievous about it. Her favorite game is going after your toes from her hiding spots under a bed, table, or sofa. She also enjoys wrestling with her brother Bandit. The two are almost inseparable and truly love each more than anything. Hazel does well with other cats and is curious about dogs, but will always opt for the company of her brother over all. Hazel will do best in a quiet home. Hazel would benefit from being adopted with her brother, Bandit. Because Hazel is a bit on the shy side, the ideal home will be quiet with a kind and patient adopter willing to spend a little extra effort to help her overcome her shyness and make her feel safe, secure and loved. (The San Diego Humane Society offers a Shy Cat training class over Zoom).
