My story
Hazel estimated birth date is May 28, 2008 and was found by her first owner when she was pregnant. Although she was outside, she wasn't feral and enjoyed the company of humans and was proud to show her kittens to them. Now she has no interest in going outside and prefers the indoors. Her kittens rearing days far behind her, she is now our resident "Gummy Grandma" as she had all of her teeth removed at the end of May 2021. She is our oldest rescue cat but she is spry and is the life of the party. Often she squeaks at the end of her meow and it sounds like a dog toy - adorable! She loves wet food and getting attention from humans. She tolerates other cats and sometimes enjoys their company, and other times...well, she gives them a swat...especially around dinner time when she wants to be served first. She doesn't care for our dog but doesn't run from it either. She hasn't been around children but we expect her to do fine with older children or children who have experience with cats and know their boundaries. She likes to play with toys, the red laser light, and string.Hazel would make a great addition to a family who is looking for a mellow, charismatic, bossy tortie. She is a lot of fun!
