HAVEN's story
Haven was surrendered to the shelter when her owner was forced to move to a residence where pets were not allowed. Haven''s previous owner reports that she is good with dogs that aren''t aggressive but hates cats, rabbits and any other small creature that isn''t a dog. The previous owner indicates that she is gentle with babies, good with kids and absolutely loves people. She will whine when she needs to go to the bathroom and will bark a lot when kenneled; Haven knows the commands ''go to bed'', ''sit'', and ''no''. She has lived as an inside/outside dog but due to her very short hair coat should not be left outside for any extended period of time during cold weather. Haven does get into garbage, jumps, and is noisy, so will benefit from house-proofing and additional obedience training with her new family. She will become very excited and scratch when she jumps up so working on positive nail trimming sessions with Haven will be important! Haven is a sweet girl whose family was very sad to give her up; we all hope that her forever home will treasure her for the gem she is!
