My story
Meet Hattie! This adorable lady is roughly 4 years old, spayed, and looking for her forever home. Hattie arrived at HSoP after she had been found as a stray. Upon arrival Hattie was severely underweight and terrified of her surroundings. After a few days Hattie began to open up to the staff here at HSoP. She is still nervous with new things and people, but she warms up pretty quick. Hattie definitely has some type of herding breed in her, as she will herd people when she thinks she needs to. She is working on not being mouthy, but she does forget her manners when she is excited! Due to this tendency, we recommend her new owners look into some training opportunities to help Hattie with this behavior.
Hattie does not appear to be housebroken at this time, but she is a people pleaser. We feel that with a steady routine and effort, Hattie should be a quick learner! Hattie seems to do best in a home with another dog, so we highly recommend her having a buddy in her new home. Hattie cannot live with kitties or small animals. Hattie would definitely benefit from some obedience training, and working on managing her herding behaviors.
Hattie loves to snuggle with her people, and enjoys laying in your lap. She can play with her toys alone, but she always prefers to have a friend! Hattie was adopted from HSoP, but unfortunately has shown issues with the kitties in the home. Due to this reason, Hattie is looking for a new home. She would love to have a home with no small pets, and a canine friend to help her learn the ropes and play!
If you are interested in meeting Hattie, please stop by HSoP Monday-Saturday between 2:00-5:00pm to see her!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt Hattie, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
