My story
Notes from our staff:During cleaning, I talked to the dog through the gate and he gave me some friendly tail wags. He would still run to the back of his kennel due to nervousness, however, when I brought him a toy he happily took it and started playing with it. He appeared to be much more relaxed after that. I went back on my lunch to say hello to him and he was sleeping. When he noticed me, he rolled on his back as if asking for belly rubs and wagged his tail. I did not enter the kennel but talked tohim through it.Seeming to open up more, jumps up on the kennel tail wagging, licks my fingers through the bars. Accepts treats gently, sits and shakes for them as well. Will try to get him out when there is time.Went in kennel. Very friendly and excited on approach (loose and wiggly body). I was able to go into kennel and pet, play, and interact with him. He actively solicited attention from me.Going into kennel he immediately greeted me with a very soft body.
He was affectionate when I started petting him. He took food from my hands in a soft manner. He vocalized and whined when I left the kennel.
