Harley Davidson's story

　　Adoption fee on this dog is $300.

　　Harley Davidson is a handsome 6-year-old solid black male with a medium-low energy level. He was taken to a boarding kennel several years ago after killing chickens. The boarding kennel is closing and asked us to find him a home.

　　This sweet boy is coming out of his shell, and is learning how to be a dog again after years primarily in a kennel. Originally Harley wasn't playful, but is starting to figure out how to play. He gets along with the other large male and female dogs his foster home, and ignored the dog-savvy cats in his previous foster home (they don't run). Harley is enjoying his new indoor life and quickly accepted his crate for sleeping, or is trustworthy sleeping free at night. He walks very well on leash and has even ignored chickens on his walks around the neighborhood. Harley loves to follow his foster mom around, and while still unsure of many things, he looks to her or his pack mates for reassurance. Harley is a little less sure of men, and can take a bit to warm up.

　　At the kennel, Harley was found with wire around one of his back legs. We don't know how long it was there. Harley now favors one rear leg, but daily leash walks seem to be helping his recovery.

　　Harley is looking for a home to call his own. He would probably like another dog to help show him the ropes. Continued socialization and training will help this guy continue to blossom.
