For sale is a BRANDNEW with a box Hardy Leather Reel Case, size Large. Never been taken to the travel or the water. It doesn't quite fit with one of my collection reels. I hope one of you find it useful. This is MADE IN ENGLAND. For the measurement, please refer the photos.I suggest the potential buyer measure not only the diameter of the reel but the length including the foot, i.e., the longest spot. Also measure the width including the handle, not just the drum width. Thanks for looking!!Reel is NOT included but as a measuring example. P.S.Using a few of my Hardy reels in that caliber as examples, I found that St. Andrew (1960s) fits "just in" and the button snapped. I think this is the max.Marquis Salmon #2 (photographed examples for measurements) is a tad bit large. The reel diameter and foot length are practically the same as the St Andrew. However, the click adjuster in the back seems adding the tiny bit of extra width, which seems to elongate the width little a bit. Consequently the button wouldn't snap (unless trying to stretch the leather, which I promise I didn't. Marquis 2 is not my collection but one of my users)Hardy St. John, Perfect 3-7/8 (narrow spool) or alike and anything smaller should easily fit in. When it's roomy, I wrap my reels with cloth such as selvyt clothes. Something like Crown Royal pouch should work well too.
