6 yr old, 14 lb Happy Harry came into rescue
from a wonderful and loving home.
He was doted on by his human parents, and he lived with two senior dogs as well.
We do not know where Harry came from, as initially, his previous owners adopted him from a local shelter in 2015.
Harry was in his second home when he was surrendered to rescue, because he had been having some jealousy issues with the two older pets in the home, and sometimes would complain by growling at them.
Since he has been in rescue, he has been living with several other fosters, some old, some younger.
The only time Harry has any issues, is if he is curled up in a tiny ball sitting next to his human.
Often, he is sleeping soundly, and he gets pounced on by another doxie wanting to be up on the same chair or lap.
Harry will get a little growly, but he immediately calms down with a warning from his foster mom.
Harry loves snooping in the yard, but is most content inside with a warm blanket.
He adores going on a walk, riding in the car, playing with his collection of balls and durable toys.
He is not much of a barker. Unless the other fosters bark first, he is generally quiet and extremely sweet natured.
Harry is taller than the average dachshund, so stairs will not be a problem.
We believe he will have some separation issues if left alone, so most likely a working from home person, or a recently retired person, will be in his best interest.
Harry has learned several commands, and is a pro using the doggie door.
If you are the right person for Happy Harry, please complete the online adoption application at scdr.org, and feel free to ask questions of his foster mom, Dawn, at [email protected].
A home check is required.
The tax-deductible donation for Harry is $250.00
