　　On January 13th, 2011, my son was diagnosed with Myeloproliferative Disorder, of the type Polycythemia Vera - this cancer is a rare bone marrow disease that leads to abnormal production of red blood cells. At that point his liver had already been permanently damaged and he was given two weeks to live but overcame the odds. On June of 2011 he was placed on the liver transplant list and awaits a new liver.
