My story
Halibut is a young puppy (DOB 6/21/21) She is a special needs girl. She has a medical condition called Megaesophagus (MegaE) which the esophagus (the tube that carries food and liquid between the mouth and stomach) dilates (gets larger) and loses motility (its ability to move food into the stomach). She eats in a chair called a Bailey Chair, which the rescue will give the adopter. Because she is so young she has easily taken to eating and waiting in her chair. After eating she sits in her chair an additional 20 mins allowing the food to get in to her stomach. Once in the stomach she is free to get out of the chair and be a "normal" puppy.
Please do your research about this condition there is a ton of information available on the net as well as a great facebook page just for pups with MegaE Halibut
was born with this medical condition, she still may grow out of if by 8 months of age. If after she is 8 months old if she still has it, chances are she always will.Photos are attached with her in her chair She will not be spayed, which her adopters will be in charge of when their vet recommends to do so. She is a very clean puppy, keeping her kennel clean. She uses the dog door to go potty. She does great with the dogs here at the rescue, loves going for rides in the truckIf you are interested in Halibut please go to the rescue's website at agsrescue.com and fill out an application.
