My story
Griffin is the sweetest, most special boy. All he wants to do is spend every moment with you, whether cuddled up, doing chores around the house, or strutting around town. He`s a two year old Australian Shepherd mix, and his potential adopters will need to do research on herding breeds to be considered. You don`t need experience with Aussies, but please do learn more about the breed. Aussies require exercise and mental stimulation, and are typically reserved with strangers. Griffin lives with small dogs, a large dog, and a cat. We don`t reccomend he live with cats in his next home, as he`s recently become very interested in the cat. He struggles when meeting new dogs, so a meet and greet is neccessary to see if he`d be a good fit. He is very rude when meeting new dogs and is very forward, so he shouldn`t live with another dominant dog. He doesn`t have experience with little kids, but due to his size, he would do best with older kids or teens. Griffin is truly the best boy. He`s incredibly sweet and always ready to be petted, and will curl up against you or on top of you. He would love to live in an active home that will provide him plenty of physical and mental stimulation, but he is certainly calmer than most Aussies. He does well in the crate, and will regularly put himself in it for a nap. He is a chewers, which has ground down his teeth, so he needs soft toys. Anything hard like bones will further damage his teeth. He doesn`t quite understand fetch, but he is smart, and would love to learn new tricks. He could even potentially do some dog sports! If you`re interested in Griffin, please submit as detailed an application as possible. He`s a very good looking pup, and will likely have lots of interest, so please give us as much detail as you can to be set apart from the rest.
If you have any questions or would like to adopt GRIFFIN, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
