My story

　　Unpredictable with dogs

　　Hi my name is Goofy and I really really want to be with you and protect you!  I used to be in foster care for a short while, and I quickly proved that I am loyal and dedicated to whomever will take me in. Unfortunately I was a little too loyal, and became a bit territorial of my caregivers. I was quite defensive around people that came into my space that I didn’t know. I just want to make sure my family is safe! I jump up and down like a pogo dog for attention. And sometimes I can be a little mouthy. I will nibble at your heels when you leave my kennel to say, “Hey! Don’t go!”. I am friendly as can be once I have determined you are not a threat. If you can get past my tough exterior I am ready to be best buds! I would do well in a home that can work on desensitizing me to strangers. I am friendly with other dogs however, and enjoy getting into shenanigans with my kennel pal. I would love to be your best friend and guard dog, give met the chance I deserve!

　　All of our pets are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, heartworm tested if over 6 months old and will be spayed or neutered before being allowed to go home. 

　　Unfortunately, we don't always know the background of each dog. Some were dumped, abandoned in an empty house, left tied to a tree, picked up by animal control as strays, or simply unwanted by their owners. Please take into consideration that owning a pet is a 10+ year commitment and discuss with all members of your family before submitting an application to adopt. 

　　If you have already filled out an online adoption application with our organization in the last 6 months you do not need to fill out another application. Please call or email us to schedule an appointment.
