Goldie is a 1,5 year old Shepherd mix. She is an incredible dog, who recently had six puppies. Goldie was found in Clearlake. She lived with her 6 puppies near a dumpster. She had no help bringing her puppies into this world. No soft whelping box. No food, just garbage. No caring home and if this is not enough for a young mom, she had a broken leg, broken pelvis, broken rips and a ligament rupture in her knee! The x-ray pictures show a shattered femur. Such a fracture occurs after a high-impact trauma. Sadly, her leg needed to be amputated. This girl is strong though. She has learned to walk steadily, climbs stairs and even runs. When she moves around, you have to look twice to see the missing leg. Goldie is very playful with her foster siblings. She is a submissive dog. She is still a little shy with people, but she is learning to trust them. All her wounds have healed very well and she is current on all her shots. She is a wonderful dog who is now waiting to meet her new family.
