My story
Ginger was an owner surrender to the rescue.
She is 7.5 years old.
She very sweet and gets along well with the young children in her foster home, as well as the other dog in the home.
When Ginger arrived to the rescue she had ear infections in both ears, as well as very bad bacterial and yeast infections on her skin, resulting in extreme itchiness and hair loss.
We have been treating that with anitibiotics and antifungals and her skin is so much better already!
She is up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, spayed and up to date on flea/tick/heartworm preventatives.
She takes a very inexpensive and low dose of a medication for her thyroid.
She also takes apoquel for her allergies.
Personality is just awesome!
She likes the people in her home, small kids to adults.
She doesn't love when we leave but just cries at the door for a few minutes and then lays down.
She hasn't destroyed anything in the home, even the various stuffed animals that the kids leave around. She needs to work on walking nicely on a leash.
Right now she pulls.
She loves to go outside in the fenced in backyard.
She rides nicely in the car.
She is leery of new people that come to the house but just needs time to adjust and just needs you to show her that they are friends.
Her "worst" behavior is that she know that the little kids are easy targets to steal their snacks or food.
So you do have to watch out for that.
If you leave some food out on a low table and then leave the room...it will be gone when you return and she will be looking at you like she has no idea what happened!
Please contact us at [email protected] for more information or to meet Ginger.
She definitely deserves a home for these senior years.
