Gilligan -- This poor, sweet boy is terrified in the shelter. Gilligan is a German shepherd mix who was surrendered to the shelter by his owner to keep the neighbors from being mean to him. He appears to dislike, or distrust, men, and he has a chronic skin condition that has resulted in very severe hair lost from his mid-section back. He wouldnt let me touch him, but he would approach very closely as if he wanted me to pet him, but just couldnt build up enough courage to do so. His owner stated that he is a great dog who loves to play and who gets along well with the familys two-year-old child. He loves to lay on his back on the couch, so I would assume that he is house trained. There is no stray hold on sweet Gilligan. He is ready to meet his new family. This pitiful boy deserves to receive medical treatment for his skin condition, and to live in a safe and secure home with a family that respects and loves him.
