　　Meet Giacomo! Giacomo is 8 year old, 95 lb, Great Dane. Giacomo is a big, friendly, affectionate old guy looking for his FURever home to live out his golden years comfortably. He LOVEs rides in the car and going out for walks/runs in the park or at the beach. He is house trained and learning not to pull on the leash. He loves belly rubs and playing with his toys. He does have a little food aggression which is easily corrected with verbal warnings or by not giving him food or treats around other dogs. He is a good obedient boy that is eager to please and would be so happy to find his new family. Giacomo is neutered, current on his vaccinations and microchipped. His adoption fee is $250 which helps Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs, vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies.

　　*Giacomo has been diagnosed with Arthritis in his Lumbara Sacral area (normal for a dog of his size). He is not needing any surgery and is currently managed by medication. We got him a full blood panel test & it came back great! Giacomo is in good shape but does not do well with strenuous activity. He is looking for a comfortable home to live out his senior years.

　　All of our dogs are in private volunteer foster homes, and as such these individuals are most qualified to answer any questions regarding the dog.

　　We do not have a central shelter or kennel locations - you must make a private one-on-one meet and greet appointment with each individual dog at the foster family's convenience. To protect our foster families' privacy, we must have an APPROVED adoption application on file before we release their contact information.

　　All of our dogs are fixed (spayed/neutered) and up to date on shots. We have a 2 week foster-to-adopt period to make sure the dog is a fit for your family. Adoption fees vary from dog-to-dog.

　　Please note that an approved application DOES NOT guarantee that the dog will be placed with you. The final decision rests with our fosters as they know the dogs the best, and please be aware that there may be other applicants interested in the same dog. We continue accepting applications on a dog until the dog is with the new adoptive family in their home.
