My story

　　All of our dogs are housed in private homes, we do not have a store or a shelter. We do not show dogs to interested parties until they have an approved adoption application. Im about 5 years old (old enough to know better, but still very youthful and playful). I weigh about 65 pounds. Im a beautiful white German shepherd dog. I play well with others. Im gentle with small dogs, even annoying puppies. I like big dogs too. Im a lover, not a fighter. I also have a cat friend. Im a really great dog. Some of the things you need to know about me: Im crate trained, house trained, easy on the leash, and well behaved in public. I get a little nervous and Im busy but I settle down and can relax in a short time. The only trick I know is sit. My foster mom makes me sit before she gives me my bowl of food (shes a meanie). My favorite thing in the whole world is food. I like toys too, but food is the best! Im a little nervous on car rides and going to the vet. I whine in the car, but I dont growl or bite. If I had a human job it would probably be activities director at a resort. When a new dog comes into rescue I will teach them about all the fun stuff in the yard: kiddie pool, where the toys are, and how to hide in the privet bushes. Im in perfect health except for EPI. I dont consider this a problem because its under control with a food additive. EPI stands for Exocrine Pancreatic Insufficiency. EPI is a condition where my pancreas does not produce enough enzymes to digest food. I could starve to death if it wasnt for a food additive. I do just fine with two tablets added to my meal (porcine pancreas tablets). I must have this additive for the rest of my life. It only costs $35 per month. Im worth it. I will be your best friend.
