This is a NO RESERVE auction. The Getzen Super Deluxe Tone Balanced trumpet is a unique trumpet that includes iconic design elements that hadn’t been seen before and haven’t been seen since. There’s no way to accurately estimate the manufacture date of Getzen trumpets prior to 1963 due to a factory fire. However this one was likely built in the 1950s. It is a solid horn. There are signs of previous bell repair but the bell bead is intact and undamaged. The lacquer is about 75%. The springs in the latches on the case don’t work but the latches do latch. All slides and valves work well. The horn is fun to play and has a great sound.
