German Shepherd Dog - Xach - Large - Adult - Male - Dog
We'd like to introduce you to Xach who would do anything right now for a home. If someone could tell him that he did something wrong, he'd work very hard to fix it. But it was nothing Xach did. Everything was out of his control. Two years ago, he was a health, happy go lucky puppy, running with his brothers and sisters. The most handsome of all, the first to be chosen for everything. When he was chosen by his family, his story should have ended with the words, "And they lived happily ever after". For Xach, this was not meant to be. In December he was diagnosed with epilepsy. In April his family returned him to Rescue where we welcomed him with open and loving arms. Xach could have lost his faith in humans but he didn't. He has made friends with everyone whom he has met and everyone falls in love with him. Immediately! At the boarding facility, he plays with all his new doggie friends and gets lots of attention from staff and volunteers. As for his epilepsy, Xach is under the care of a neurologist and receives medication. We are happy to report that even with the stress of losing his home, he hasn't had any seizures since joining Rescue. Xach is fortunate to be living in a foster home (he's met the resident cat and all goes well!) and we'd like to share a story about him that will certainly warm your heart. One of the other dogs in the home has a life threatening tumor on her liver. When Sugar is having a bad day, Xach senses her discomfort and he will go to her, lying down next to her to keep her company and to give her some needed love and attention. Xach is waiting for his forever home and his forever family who will love him forever. Maybe you are the family for him!
