Stella IS AVAILALBE (updated daily) To meet any of our dogs you must first complete the online adoption application. She's spayed and up to date on vaccinations. She's potty-trained (She's never had a single accident in the house) and crate-trained. Stella loves to play fetch with her ball. She's pretty good at bringing the ball back and giving it up, especially if there's a treat to trade with her! Stella knows (pretty reliably, for the most part) sit, down, shake (she always has to sit and then shake before every meal), high five, wait (she's learning stay, but I find that she understands 'wait' much better), let's go, go-potty/find-a-spot; Stella also knows (not very reliably) off, leave it, drop it, give. And she really, really, really knows 'squirrel' -- say the word squirrel and she races straight to the tree in the middle of the backyard where she first saw a squirrel (and learned the word). She loves tummy rubs. She's good with other large dogs -- even when she comes across strangers (i.e., scary new people) while out on a walk, she doesn't mind or even seem to really notice the person as long as they have a dog attached to them. Stella needs an adult home that understands and can accomodate her fear of the unknown. While she has been through some obedience training, it is recommended that she continue to work with a trainer so her new family can fully understand her needs. It would also be beneficial for her to have a large dog companion who can balance her fears. (29)
