　　Driving the freeways in Los Angeles can be challenging for most of us. First and foremost, it seems that traffic on the 405 freeway, for example, never goes away! Morning, afternoon, night, there are cars everywhere. Drivers driving too fast and changing lanes to often. Imagine how frightening it must have been for two puppies, only eight months of age, to have been dumped at a construction site and then find themselves alone by the side of the freeway. Not knowing where to go for safety. Fortunately for Sophie and Sparrow, a Good Samaritan picked them up and now they are safe with Rescue. They were invited to stay in a foster home and here's their foster mom's report on each puppy.

　　We don't know how long Sparrow survived on the streets but we do know that life took its toll on him. About thirty pounds underweight, he is enjoying lots of good food. And, of course, lots of love and attention. He's very sweet and loyal so it's very easy to give him the love and attention he deserves. Sparrow is very full of life and he cannot stay away from Sophie. In fact, he sometimes is very dependent on her. Sparrow looks to his humans for guidance and firmness, telling him what to do and praising him when he does it. We think he's very trainable and has the potential to be an amazing dog. An important fact to know is that Sparrow can jump an 8' fence. Yes, we said 8'! Whoever invites him into their home and family will be very lucky. At the same time, it is essential that they have experience with the German Shepherd Dog and not be a first time owner. Are you ready to invite Sparrow into your life and your world? This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100%25 tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems. Our adoption process begins with completing an application on-line.
