German Shepherd Dog - Sophie - Large - Young - Female - Dog
Driving the freeways in Los Angeles can be challenging for most of us. First and foremost, it seems that traffic on the 405 freeway, for example, never goes away! Morning, afternoon, night, there are cars everywhere. Drivers driving too fast and changing lanes to often. Imagine how frightening it must have been for two puppies, only eight months of age, to have been dumped at a construction site and then find themselves alone by the side of the freeway. Not knowing where to go for safety. Fortunately for Sophie and Sparrow, a Good Samaritan picked them up and now they are safe with Rescue. They were invited to stay in a foster home and here's their foster mom's report on each puppy.
We don't know how long Sophie survived on the streets but that life took its toll on her. About thirty pounds underweight, she is enjoying lots of good food. And, of course, lots of love and attention. Her foster mom describes her as super sweet. Look into her eyes and your heart will melt! She loves the other dogs in her foster home but she also loves to play with stuffed toys. When you see her carrying on in the house, you'd think it was one of her babies. She may be a puppy but Sophie is learning to walk nicely on the leash. She is good in the house and likes to lean on you whenever she has a chance. Maybe she is making up for all the love she didn't have because Sophie thinks she is a lap dog. If you sit down, she will gently sit on you and cuddle. Who could ask for more? When she is not in the house, anyone who adopts her needs to know that this sweet girl can jump an 8' fence! Yes, we said 8'. Needless to say, that's an important fact to know.
