　　Meet RIVER! We have to imagine River is due to find the perfect home. It is right and just for him to be spoiled rotten until the end of time. River was rescued from the LA riverbed in a very dangerous situation that required an extraction team to save him. He seeks only love, needs only reassurance as well as a family to please. River has an amazing story and is an even more amazing dog.

　　Currently River can be a little shy, but after only a minute or two of introductions, he becomes a flawless companion. He isn't a big barker, he isn't overly needy, he isn't a jumper... he is someone you cannot wait to spend time with. This guy is a quiet lover, a gentle friend and a subtle soul. He is kind, noble, adoring, affectionate and is seeking someone who wishes to receive and give the same. Wrap your arms around him and you will feel him melting in your embrace. Hold him by his cheeks and you will see his love peering into your eyes. River is very attentive on a walk, is always aware of your needs and will want to be by your side if at home or away. River isn't looking to set the world on fire anymore, just your heart.

Upon receipt a volunteer will typically be in touch within 24 - 48 hours

　　The minimum adoption donation ranges from $300 to $400. This amount only partially covers the cost of veterinary care, boarding fees, and other miscellaneous expenses involved in the temporary care and adoption of our dogs and is 100% tax deductible. Prior to placement, all dogs will be spayed or neutered, receive current vaccinations, and are usually microchipped. If not, arrangements will be made on an individual basis. Special consideration may be given to those willing to adopt older dogs or dogs with physical problems. Our adoption process begins with completing an application on-line. A phone screening will soon follow, and lastly a home visit will be conducted by our volunteers. We show our dogs at adoption events every weekend! Please click on Events to see where we'll be next!
