German Shepherd Dog - Dash - Large - Adult - Male - Dog
Dash's life has turned upside down and he's hoping someone can put it back together. Dash started his life as one of ten dumpster puppies who were rescued a few years ago. He soon had a family and life was good. He lived with a family that had four children and two other dogs. About a year or so ago, Dash was diagnosed with Addison's disease. Addison's disease in dogs is quite similar to the disease in humans. Dash was being treated with a vaccination every 25 days plus a daily pill. He also is on a special diet where he eats smaller portions of food, three times a day. Unfortunately, his family can no longer afford to keep him because they are about to lose their home. The youngest child in the house is devastated because she was the one who set her alarm every morning so she could give him his pill and feed him on time. She walked him and took care of him and she misses him very much. Right now he doesn't know what happened to him and can't understand why he is in a kennel. In his home, he would retreat to his crate because a crate was a security blanket. Properly treated, a dog with Addison's disease can live a normal life. Dash is hoping that someone can come along soon and put his life back together. Okay?
