My story
Say hey to George! George came to us with two of his siblings to find homes to call their very own. We believe George was born in October of 2022, and would do well with all ages and other animals with proper introduction. George is a typical puppy, he loves to play and wrestle with his siblings or any toy he can find! He is working on learning how to sit, and is making progress each day! In his new home he will need to work on a bit of socializing - he loves people, but when he is away from his siblings he gets a bit nervous. He will also need to be potty trained, but he is very food motivated and intelligent so he should learn tricks etc. fairly quickly!
All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org
When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition.
Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed.
If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only.
If you have any questions feel free to send us an email at [email protected], send us a message on Facebook, or call or text .
If you have any questions or would like to adopt George, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
