GENERAL DEXTER's story
General Dexter, was adopted from the shelter a couple of months ago as a kitten after being brought to us as a stray. After two months in his most recent household, General has returned after his owner went through some significant life changes and felt like he was no longer able to care for General adequately. General has been an indoor cat at all times with his most recent owner and should stay inside to protect him from getting lost and from predators, especially as he has already done one stint as a stray. General is housebroken and uses his litterbox consistently, he is loving and affectionate and greets his person at the door when he returns. He is great with all adults but has not been in a home with dogs, other cats, small creatures or small children, so caution should be used when introducing him to any potential non-adult human housemates. General is still young and loves to play! He will have kitten moments where he likes to jump on his person''s shoulder and ride around like a pirate. General is hoping for a stable forever home that will enjoy his kitten-esque tendencies and care for him as he becomes a handsome adult.
