My story
02/27/22 15:51 Gelato came to the shelter as owner surrender with her boyfriend, Ace, due to the owner's living situation.
The previous owner noted that she can be rough when she plays, jumps on people (and scratches), gets into garbage, and chews things. Obedience classes would be a great opportunity for her to learn some focus, self control and manners, even though she already knows basic commands like sit, no, outside. The previous owner mentioned that she is always happy and excited with babies and children, and is generally good with adults, but can be guarded with strangers. At the shelter, she has been friendly with our animal tenders from the beginning and appears to be friendly and outgoing! Gelato does not do well with cats, Livestock, and pocket pets, and must find a home without them.
She can be dog-selective, so please use caution if introducing Gelato to a new canine housemate or friend. Gelato is not 100% housebroken but she will generally go to a door when she needs to go outside. Gelato is such a sweet girl but she can be very strong. If you are interested in this energetic girl, please give us a call!
If you have any questions or would like to adopt GELATO, please reach out to the adoption group directly. PetSmart Charities does not facilitate the adoption process. Thank you.
