Vivaciously adorable Garnet is a not very senior-ish senior....as a stray his age is hard to determine, but 8-10 is the best guess. He is still rather youthful. A Pomeranian for Pomeranian lovers who understand the breed, he is clipped down right now, but fluffy and adorable, alert and brilliant, loves to be held, has adorable dances for attention, lives to be spoiled and of course is very charming ;) He gets along with dogs of all shapes and sizes, and unlike some Poms does very well with children :) NOTE!!!!! Garnet is either mostly or fully deaf, and that brings challenges. He is quick to startle, at which time he shows the sharpness that this breed can be known for. We have not known him to bite, but he can be quite reactive and show a lot of bravado. He also does not like to feel cornered, so while he likes entering crates for nap time, the enclosing of him in a crate needs to be built up to, at a point when he is comfortable with you. Additionally, his housebreaking needs a lot of work, so he is not a dog for the houseproud.
As is breed typical can be barky. Despite this, his charms are endless and he is terrifically sweet and companionable, and will bring much joy to a Pomeranian lover for years to come. Applications are available on our southpawsexpress.org website, or via contacting Lucy at [email protected] Garnet's adoption fee is $450
