Garden Cats's story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.
While SVPP strongly believes that most domestic kitties will live longer and healthier lives indoors, we occasionally encounter kitties better suited to a life with a little more freedom.
Sometimes these are older kittens that were captured past the prime time to socialize them and they're not as friendly as we had hoped they'd become. Others are adults that have had outdoor lives previously and are truly struggling to acclimate to a life indoors. Some are truly feral and need to be relocated from their original territory.
Many of these kitties believe strongly in being seen, but not touched. In exchange for food and access to shelter, they'll keep rodents out of your garage and yard. They'll provide passive companionship as you relax on your patio or in your yard, content to lounge in the sun.
Our commitment to their healthcare is the same: all cats will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, tested for FIV/FeLV, treated for fleas and other parasites, and microchipped. We ask that guardians seeking a feline for their garden, yard, shop, barn, porch, or garage be willing to provide shelter, food, water, and basic veterinary care.
